Steering Committee

The 27th Street Steering Committee is a temporary committee comprised of officials from Franklin and Oak Creek. They are working on the South 27th Street Streetscape Planning Project, intended to establish a unified corridor development strategy that will enhance the aesthetic image of the corridor and prepare the area for high-quality development.
Created in August 2004 by a joint Community Development Authority Action, the steering committee only makes recommendations to the CDA(s) and Common Council(s). All funding recommendations of the steering committee must be approved by the respective Common Councils.
Meetings are held at either the Franklin City Hall, 9229 W. Loomis Road, or the Oak Creek City Hall, 8640 S. Howell Avenue, when needed.
